In 1997 elumatec expanded its sawing program to include the DG 244 double miter saw, a machine that can handle different cuts and large profiles. In 1992 elumatec developed the first profile machining center. The company brand was changed from "Elu" to "elumatec". In 1984 the Elu power tools and Elu woodworking machinery divisions were sold to Stanley Black & Decker. In 1979 the logistics area was expanded and the company now uses a computer-controlled, modern high-bay warehouse. In 1978, the DG 184 double miter saw was introduced, which enables compound cuts. With the models DG 102 and DG 104, further saws for aluminum construction followed, which were unrivaled in the 1970s and are still sold today.

It was the first large-scale double miter saw for manual and industrial production. In 1972, the Twin-DG 79 came on the market. In 1967 Elu developed the table and miter saw TGS 71 with a patented swivel mechanism. Their successors from the 1960s, the AS 70 and the AS 170, are also still in use today. In 1966, machines for aluminum and plastic profile processing were developed for the first time, including the first generation of copy milling machines, the SAL 54. In 1959, Elu founded Elu France, the first foreign subsidiary in France.

In the same year, the MOF 11 motorized hand router with high-performance universal motor came onto the market, which was sold throughout Europe. In 1951 Elu began to develop machines for woodworking and power tools and to sell them all over Europe.


The first series product was the Elu disc grinding machine MT 1. In 1930, the manufacture of machines under the brand name "Elu" began in Mühlacker-Lomersheim.
